It's official composer Masashi Hamauzu has left Square Enix, and to make matters worse, composers Junya Nakano and Kenichiro Fukui are leaving the company in the upcoming months. Counting Nobuo Uematsu, a total of four amazing SE composers have left or are leaving, and that's not counting the other members of the composer team that will also be making their departure.

There is no doubt that Masashi Hamauzu has positively impacted Square Enix in the last 15 years of working there. His efforts have been put into numerous titles, some of which include: Final Fantasy X, SaGa Frontier II, and Dirge of Cerberus. The hard work put into these titles have in fact paid off, for all of his compositions at the company have made his name one to be respected.

His latest soundtrack for Final Fantasy XIII will surely (if it hasn't already) make Hamauzu's name legendary. Not only to adoring fans and industry higher-ups recognize the masterpiece he has created, but the reviews received on his work have been phenomenal.

News on where Masashi Hamauzu will be heading is yet to be determined, but I'm sure his strong work ethic and great talent will not be wasted.
